Easy or hard?

Another mystery photo. I think it's quite easy, but then I know where it is......

I'm sure I know where and what it is but I'm reluctant to spoil the fun for others - if I'm right.

I'll giver you the answer cryptically:

2 words; the last word is a criminal.

Also move the first letter of 2nd word to last letter of the 1st word and you get two new words.

I think you may have got it Calum. Let's see if anyone else knows too ;-)

And if you replace the first word with "John" yout get the name of someone who was quite a high profile police Deputy Chief Constable. And the loch it is on rhymes with "Dinnae". Clearly Scotland is too small a country for this game Ruth.

And of course I cryptically added a t to one of my own words for reasons that will be obvious to anyone (except perhaps Calum).

That was obviously far too easy. I'll need to find something more obscure......

Well, the Deputy Chief Constable became widely known by a certain inquiry which was published in the 8os of the past millennium?
Well, and someone who develops an extremely strong interest in another person and follows and watches them all the time in a threatening way would not be called Deputy Chief Constable, but - so to speak - by the surname of this very John, which happens to be also the name of the very castle you are asking for, Ruth?

Castle Stalker? I looked at a few Scottish Castles. It's a lovely site.

Andrew,

Does your "yout" = my "giver"?

Suzie Slug worked this out in seconds. Unfortunately she wasn't able to speak to me until now.

It is indeed Castle Stalker (and a gold star for Andrew for adding that its on Loch Linnhe).
You're all too good. I'll have to find something a little trickier.....
