(Re) organisation

I finally completed the clearing out and moving round that I mentioned starting weeks ago (When the music stops......)
It sounds a bit like colonic irrigation when put like that, and now I think about it, it was - though a bit less messy!
The kids are both pleased with their new locations and I now have a study with a view.

In the process we took around 9 bin bags of rubbish to the tip, 3 boxes of books are waiting to go to the charity shop,

and a very large container of lego is waiting to be picked up by a friend for her little boy.

When clearing the study I shredded enough old bills and documents to almost fill my paper recycling bin, and despite severe provocation I resisted the temptation to shred several important documents belonging to my ex!
Why am I so reasonable, I ask myself?

That is quite a clear out you had. I shudder to think how much stuff we could lose if we put our minds to it...

This is one of the things I plan to do, it is just knowing where to start.

Your office looks nice and tidy :-)

Not sure you were wise to throw out your "Big I Wonder Why Book". I think you may need to consult that again, and possibly next week...

In fact if it is possible to retrieve the Big I Wonder Why book could you see what it has under "I wonder why I even bother to care"?

The answer may be of some use to both of us sometime soon

The clear out was long overdue, Jams. It was really the next step in a bit of a general life clearout of the past 3 years!

Cherie - it's tidy now, but I'm sure it won't stay that way for long.

I have scoured My Big I Wonder Why Book for appropriate answers Andrew and sadly didn't find any. Everything is still a mystery to me......

You already answered my question, Ruth. How could you have such a tidy space around the computer? All my life, I always had an organised desk. I could dust the table and typewriter, cover it, put things in neat folders, pens and pencils in cases. But since the arrival of the monster computer, I haven't been able to maintain any type of cleanliness and order, over and under the table. I must say that I'm a three-year-neophyte. I'm afraid to touch anything in case I push a button, or disarrange a cord and kill the animal (or spirit) which lives in the machine and keeps it breathing.

Congratulations on your hard work. Something (according to my experience with my boys) you will have to do, again and again, every 2-3 years of your family life.

As I'm sure you have already worked out Claude, the computer desk is only that tidy because the desk and computer have just been moved from another room and all the crap was sorted out for the move.
I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about pulling out all the wires and connections from monitor, box and printer to move everything, but I did manage to replace them all in their correct and various sized holes....much to the amazement of the BF!

I'm just going to say WOW. And the same word goes for you exercise routine, and weight loss.
