We found Balmair (I think it is) - just outside Ullapool to the north -to be very threatening. There's a large rockface which was looking down at us. Mrs Carr took a stone from there many years ago and returned the stone the next time we were up.
I love the scenery to the north of Ullapool. Some of the mountains are spectacular. The drive from Ullapool to Durness is certainly a contender for my favourite.
Such a serene scene. Magnificent photo. When I enlarged it, I even saw the small rocks at the bottom of the water. I could sit there for hours, and not want to leave.

Abs lovely, Ruth. Where is it?
It's the view up Loch Broom from Ullapool, Calum
Ooh that is a sight to gladden the heart. Beautiful!
Thank you. It's a lovely place to sit and eat your fish and chips :-)
I've never had a fish supper in Ullapool.
