Last day in Inveraray

The last day of our wee break was spent doing a very long, but relatively flat, walk to Rob Roys house - or so it was billed. In reality we never quite got there because of our inability to cross a rather swollen river about 200 metres from the end. We did however have a very pleasant 22km stroll which I suppose worked off a few calories.
The light wasn't good for taking pictures and this was probably the best of the day, taken right at the start of the walk -

Ah! The calmness of the morning sea - thanks.

I've passed though Inveraray countless times but I've never stopped there other than through necessity for a pee.

Sometime I must stop for another reason.

You could surely find reason for a longer stop Calum. They do have cubicles with seats in the toilet after all.

It sounds like a lovely walk. I love the reflections in the photo :-)

Thanks Cherie, thats what I liked about it too. Just a glimmer of sunlight would have made a very different photo though.
You should stop for longer Calum. I would recommend dinner in the bar of the George Hotel - open fire, good food and very atmospheric.
H.I. - lowering the tone again I see!

I feel it is best to stick to what I'm good at Ruth, rather than making a botched attempt at some skill that I am not so good at, such as being polite and nice.

Sounds like you had a good time/ It's been a while since I could manage a 22km walk. I like the photo. Shame the light wasn't kinder though

Thanks Claude.
It was a great time Jams, though I feel I have come back to earth with a large bump now!
