Happy New Year

Happy New Year!
I haven't been around for a while because I managed to escape for a peaceful new year, staying in this inviting little fishermans cottage -

...............with a view from the front door that looked, when we arrived on Dec 30th, like this in one direction -

....and this in the oposite direction -

An "inviting little fisherman" eh?

Was he the one with the dubious dongle?

Dr Doublentendre said...

... said "dubious dongle" being the dubious dongle of your previous post, in case anyone else wonders what I am on about (which happens a lot)

Happy New Year to you to Jams. I hope its a good one for you.
For the avoidance of any doubt, it was the cottage that was inviting rather than the fisherman .....though who knows, he may have been inviting too, but I suspect he is long gone!

HNY too, Ruth.

You seem to be getting comments from strangely named people. Are they all from one person? And do we know this person well under another name?

Happy 2011. I guess you'll stay at this inviting cottage, with beautiful sceneries, for at least a year. See you in 2012.

It looks fantastic :-)

Happy New Year to you :-)

Ah Calum, I wouldn't like to speculate. I appreciate all comments no matter how strangely named the commenter ;-)
Claude - what a lovely idea, but sadly that was not possible as I have to return to work on Wednesday (and I would have missed my boys too much!)
CP - it was fantastic....more to follow.....

I have also observed the trend that Calamitous Calum (to give him his full name) refers to, and I suspect commenting at Ruth's place is going a bit "viral", in a small way, but with potential to grow, drawing in all manner of strange people with oddly appropriate names. There are a lot of strange people about.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as Calum. It's probably just some lonely old man who is losing his marbles somewhat and gets sent to his room by his family as they have grown tired of his drivellings (and dribblings). We should probably just humour him out of kindness. He seems harmless enough.

Well one of my New Year resolutions was to be kind to lonely, drivelling (though maybe not dribbling) old men, so I might as well start here.

That is a fine resolution. Do you have an appointment system or should lonely old men just seek you out when they feel the need for your kindness?

CalumCarr said...

Andrew, can't be the person I was thinking of because he is not losing his marbles but has them all already.

:)

Ruth said...

No appointments Larry, I prefer random acts of kindness.

BTW "kindness" is not a euphemism!

"...but has them all already"

Is there a word missing there Calum? Or did you really mean to commend me for still being in full possession of all my shiny marbles? Perhaps you have lost your "lost"?

CalumCarr said...

It's well-known that my marbles went down the pan years ago. I suspect the many-named writer lost his more recently!

No idea what Calum's on about. Does anyone else? Is he making wild allegations against Larry or someone?

That Andrew chap sounds like a sensible man though.
