Great photo. Brings to life summer memories of my youth in the Laurentides (Quebec, Canada.) The lakes were always so cold. But we got boundless energy jumping in, on a hot day, and swimming all across, and back. No pool can beat swimming in the cold water of a lake, surrounded by trees, with a sandy beach to dry yourself under a warm sun. My old bones still remember the well being felt in those hours.
Ah that brings back memories of the one hot day I once experienced during my childhood holidays in Ireland. Needless to say the Atlantic was still freezing, Gulfstream or no Gulfstream!

The water does look beautiful, but knowing Scotland as I do, the water also looks cold.
