I've just sampled the plum and almond muffins :)
The chutney will have to wait til its cool and I have some good strong cheddar to go with it.

Mhmm ... a kingdom for a wormhole!

Ah now that is a prime example of the applied arts, even if the installations are a tad ephemeral!

Maybe Sean's wormhole will get me to Scotland too. You're an inspiration, Ruth, and you give me ambition. I'll shop at the market for the fruits, though I know (by experience) that my creativity in this area is not always successful. But hoping to make my own chutney (for the first time) is already giving me pride. Thanks!

Sean - if only I could send a sample through the ether....
Jams - you don't know how true that is. P&J 1 and 2 have already polished off 4 muffins between them!
I'm glad I've inspired you Claude :-)
I am always being told off by BF for saying I'm not creative. This is one area he says proves my creativity. I made chutney for the first time ever last year and it seemed to be pretty successful.
Good luck with your efforts and have fun!

Heck. If I had known last year was the first time I would not have tried it. But it was indeed very good, and I survived. Plum and Almond muffins though? That takes things up to another level. Almonds have cyanide in them don't they? Dosage is everything though. Good luck.

Working on dosage - kids have survived so far.......

Very creative :-) The last picture is very tempting but...

I am not allowed am I?

Plum Chutney Reviewed: It is good. Very good. Thanks for the jar. I know you recommended mature cheddar, and that will come, but the first trial was on fruit and spice oatcakes actually - very nice
