We decided that it wasn't on for the baby of the family to have all the fun, so we popped down to London for a couple of days.
South Bank, Covent Garden, Toy Story 3, Portobello Market, Lion King stage show (courtesy of my VERY generous BF), St Pauls Cathedral, Millenium Bridge and finally Covent Garden again.
A whirlwind tour and great fun. No. 1 doesn't get as many mentions as No. 2, but he is great company and probably the most laid back 15 year old on the planet.

How lovely! A time to remember. Those days are so precious, Ruth. Enjoying your photos, as always.
He will be 16 in 3 weeks time, and I'm all too aware that he will almost certainly be leaving home in a couple of years time, so I intend to enjoy his company as much as possible before then :-)
Don't worry Ruth, when the time comes he'll be back frequently, with bags of dirty washing, an empty wallet needing topped up and an urgent desire to empty your fridge and raid the booze cupboard. (The Voice of Experience speaks)
By the way, is that you at the top of St Paul's? Looks like it. I was there not so long ago.
I love that last photo :-)
And (as all mothers) you'll be so glad (nearly delirious) to have him visiting, that you'll sit him at the table and offer plates, and plates, and plates of food. And, while happily (with a song in your heart) washing his laundry, you'll fill bags after bags with his favourite dishes that you have kept preparing every week (though he is far away) and overloaded the freezer with. Ask Mrs.Scott! And believe this lonely old mother.
Yes Andrew, it's at the very top of St Pauls.....he made me climb all 530 steps to the Golden Gallery!
I'm sure I will feel exactly like that Claude, I still remember my mum doing the same :-)
Thanks CP - I dodn't actually like it, I think it makes me look old (vanity!) but it's the only one I had of us both.
I'm glad you had a great time Ruth. Don't do yourself down, the last photo is really nice!
