Carn Aosda and the Cairnwell

On Sunday the BF and I climbed 2 of the easiest Munros (over 3000ft) possible.
The summit of Cairnwell is ugly......

....but the views are beautiful........

Well worth the climb, those views are amazing :-)

There is a rather awesome techno-beauty in these flimsy telecoms towers too, when one considers the things that they achieve for us. "Monkeys manipulating miracles", I often think, as I watch people using electronic equipment without the slightest clue about how it works, or how much amazing intellectual effort it has taken to make it work.

Of course, as my avatar shows, I consider myself a mere modest monkey too, lest you may think I don't...

Yes it was definitely worth the (rather easy) climb. In fact it felt like a bit of a cheat getting such good views for so little effort.
The masts are certainly rather impressive Andrew, but the whole summit is a mess due to the ski area as well as the masts :(

Probably easier to climb towards such a spectacular view than it is to come down and leave it behind. Thank you, Ruth.

Oh... Ski Area? Yuk. Monkeys on slippy sticks. Still, I suppose everyone is allowed their fun. Golf anyone? Monkeys hitting their little balls...
