I just meant I wish some of our students were prisoners to their love of detail. It is a love some seem to have betrayed. When I saw the clock my first thought was that it looked very Belgian, having spent a lot of time wandering around Brussels on my lonesome business trips; but I expect it may be from much closer to home. I'll need to give it a bit more thought... Oh is it the harbour cafe in Brodick? (Nah, that was just me being silly)
I expect Claudia has got it, yes? Not a place I have been to, unfortunately. I only go to where people pay me to go to in the US, being the cheapskate Scot.

Our love of detail? If only!!! (marking student reports, for the nth time, excuse the exasperation.
Is that not exactly the problem though? We are prisoners to our love of detail?
.....BTW do you recognise the clock?

The problem with most of the students is they have yet to discover that love of detail.
The clock is much further from home than either Brodick or Brussels.
It looks very much like New York Grand Central Station Clock. You've been around, Ruth! Le temps fuit, n'est-ce-pas?

Yes, Claudia is correct, it is the clock at NY Grand Central Station. A place I absolutely loved...if only all stations were designed like that!
