Photohunt - Point

So many options this week I found it hard to chose. I resisted posting one of my standard mountain photos in favour of this - the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point. It is the most westerly point of the UK mainland and one of my favourite places.
I couldn't resist adding a couple of extra photos too.....
This is the old foghorn under the lighthouse,
And a view of the point from Sanna beach, just a couple of miles north,

I can see why it is one of your favourite places :-)

Can you imagine the people who spent their lives on that point?
Great photo for The Saturday PhotoHunt.
I hope to see y'all next Saturday... Let's get LOUD!

Love the view from the sea, as it is one that I have not seen before. Where did you get the boat from? The Oban to Barra run, or a little local trip? Thanks for reminding me there are places out West that make life worth living whatever the circumstances. I needed that reminder this weekend.

lovely. somehow it gives the feeling of melancholy. the sea and the ocean always give me that feeling.

The one taken from the sea was on a little boat out of Kilchoan which took us on a fab trip wildlife spotting out to Coll. I need that reminder too Andrew which is why we've just booked a cottage on Mull for a week this summer :)
